Awash National Park

Awash Park is located 215 km East of Addis Abeba, covers a total land area of 756 sq. Km and it’s found on an altitude of 750-2007 masl. The park is well known for its volcanic landscape, which is one of the most geologically active areas in the region; this marked out by the FantalleCreater, Filhowa (hot springs) and lake Baska which is found nearby.    

Awash River and Awash Park has a fascinating natural and wildlife species respectively that holds the captivity of the eye. The River with its amazing waterfalls and gorges is scenic feature of the park. The park is full of large wildlife species with one particularly common to the area which is the Besia Oryx these all sum up to give one of the most beautiful tourist attractions.
